Senior Manager

De-Podium Professional Services
📍 Lagos

The role You will lead client delivery across the firm’s tax, compliance and advisory work, and act as the Managing Partner’s senior technical lead. You will run a portfolio of client relationships, lead and develop the engagement teams, and make sure every piece of work leaves the firm on time and to standard. You will also play a central part in growing the firm: deepening existing client relationships, winning new work, and helping to build the firm’s advisory services. What you will do Client delivery and quality Lead a portfolio of client engagements from scoping to delivery, with accountability for timelines, quality and client satisfaction. Review and sign off the work of managers and consultants before it is released to clients. Give clear, practical technical advice on tax, regulatory compliance and related matters, including the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 regime and Nigeria Revenue Service requirements. Make sure every engagement has a signed engagement letter, an agreed scope and a documented file before work begins. Identify technical and delivery risks early and escalate them to the Managing Partner. Client relationships and growth Act as the senior relationship lead on assigned accounts, with regular client reviews held outside routine compliance work. Identify opportunities to extend services to existing clients, and lead or support proposals for new work. Support the annual fee review on your accounts and make sure fees reflect the scope and value of the work. Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership through client briefings, articles and events on regulatory changes. Team leadership and development Lead, coach and supervise managers and consultants, and allocate work across the team with the Practice Manager. Set objectives and carry out appraisals for your team, and support their technical training and professional exams. Build and keep up to date the firm’s technical procedures, templates and knowledge base for the services you lead. Practice management Track engagement budgets, time and recoveries on your portfolio, and report on them monthly. Take part in the monthly management meeting and the firm’s strategy reviews, and lead the initiatives assigned to you. Deputise for the Managing Partner on technical and client matters when required. What we are looking for A first degree in accounting, finance, economics, law or a related discipline. A professional qualification: ICAN, ACCA or CITN. Strong, current technical knowledge of Nigerian tax and regulatory compliance, including the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 and CAMA. A track record of managing client relationships directly and growing fee income on accounts you led. Experience reviewing and signing off the work of others to a documented quality standard. Clear, confident writing for client reports, advice letters and proposals. The ability to lead and develop a team, and to work closely with a Managing Partner on firm direction. It would be an advantage if you have Experience in a growing firm where processes had to be built rather than inherited. Exposure to e-invoicing, transfer pricing or sector-specific regulatory work.

Practice Manager, Shared Services

De-Podium Professional Services
📍 Lagos

The role You will run the shared operations and finance function for both firms, and oversee business development jointly with the Managing Partner. Your job is to make sure each firm delivers its work on time, bills and collects what it earns, keeps its own records and accounts, and has a steady, well managed flow of new work. The partners own client relationships, technical work and legal practice. You own the systems, records, reporting and commercial discipline that let them grow. Many of these systems are still being built, so this role suits someone who builds, not only someone who maintains. What you will do Business development oversight jointly with the Managing Partner Work with the Managing Partner to set and run the annual business development plan for each firm: target sectors, target clients, and the activities and owners behind them. Own the pipeline for both firms: every enquiry logged, qualified, assigned and followed up, with a pipeline review held with the Managing Partner every month. Lead proposal management from brief to submission, including scope, fee build-up, formatting and deadlines. Track win and loss outcomes on every proposal and report what the firms are winning, losing and why. Run the annual client review cycle across the top accounts of each firm, and flag cross-selling and repricing opportunities to the partners. Coordinate referrals between De-Podium and Sola Dada, making sure each referral is recorded and the right firm engages and invoices the client. Oversee the marketing calendar, client events, thought leadership and online presence, working with partners to turn their expertise into content. Finance, billing and reporting separately for each firm Run the billing cycle for each firm: invoices raised promptly under the correct entity and collections followed up against agreed payment terms. Keep a receivables ledger for each firm and report debtor ageing to the partners monthly. Prepare a monthly management report for each firm covering fee income against target, pipeline, cash, receivables and cost against budget. Allocate shared costs between the firms on the agreed basis and record intercompany charges and referral arrangements. Make sure client funds are held and reconciled in dedicated client accounts, separate from operating accounts. Support the annual budget and standalone annual accounts for each firm, and manage office administration and vendors. Engagement and delivery management Keep an engagement and matter tracker for each firm showing every active job, its stage, team, deadline and status. Make sure engagement letters and agreed scopes are signed before any work begins. Run the quality review checklist so that deliverables are reviewed and signed off before release. Systems, compliance and administration Implement and run the practice management, time recording and document systems, with access controls that keep each firm’s client files separate. Keep a statutory compliance calendar for each entity covering CAC, tax and professional body filings, and make sure filings are on time. Run the weekly operational meeting and the monthly management meeting for each firm, and track agreed actions to completion. What we are looking for A first degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related discipline. At least five years in a professional services firm accounting, tax, consulting or legal, with at least two in a practice management, operations, finance or business development role. Evidence that you have built something: a billing cycle, a pipeline process, a reporting pack or a system that did not exist before you arrived. Hands-on experience managing a sales or business development pipeline and preparing proposals for corporate clients. Sound financial literacy: you can build a budget, read management accounts and explain a variance. Working knowledge of CAC and CAMA requirements and the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 regime. Advanced Excel, clear and concise writing, and the confidence to hold partners to agreed processes and deadlines. Discretion with confidential client and financial information, including respect for legal professional privilege. It would be an advantage if you have A professional qualification in accounting ICAN, ACCA or ANAN, completed or in progress.

Associate, Finance Operations

Charles Ardor & Company
📍 Abuja

What this looks like in practice: You are the first check on the work. Review reconciliations, month-end close, schedules, and tax that the analysts and client teams prepare, confirm the figures are correct and nothing is missing, and send the work back for correction when needed, so that what reaches the Supervisor is already right. You tie the figures to the source. Before you prepare the report, you confirm that each figure agrees with the record it comes from, so the report uses only figures that have been checked. You prepare the monthly report. You set out clearly what the figures show for the client, and give your first read of what they mean, which the Supervisor then reviews. You develop the Analysts. When you send work back, you show them what was wrong and why, so they get it right themselves next time. You keep the clients on schedule. You carry several clients through the monthly cycle at once, so each one is closed, reviewed, and reported on time. As the firm grows, the balance between what you prepare and what you review will shift. Also, you will take on work across the operational and reporting cycle as the team requires Requirements A strong foundation in bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end close and tax, with solid and accurate hands-on experience. Able to prepare a clear report that explains what the figures show, not only present them. A professional accounting qualification, ACA or ACCA, or steady progress towards one, is an advantage rather than a requirement. Solid working knowledge of accounting software. Zoho Books experience is an advantage. Careful and accurate in your own work, and quick to notice when something in someone else's work is not right, even when it looks right on the surface. Able to manage several clients' deadlines within a structured monthly cycle without being chased. Someone who takes ownership of their work and follows it through. Able to give a colleague feedback that makes their work better, not only point out what is wrong.
