Privacy Policy

DipSkill (“we”, “us”) runs dipskill.com, a career platform offering courses, a job board, a resume builder, and practical tools such as our tax Q&A assistant. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use DipSkill, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We are based in Nigeria and handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

We only collect what we need to run the platform:

• Account details: your email address and password, or your name and email from Google if you sign in with Google.
• Profile details: first and last name, headline, and phone number with country code, which you provide during onboarding or in settings.
• Content you create: resumes you build or upload, job applications you track, questions you ask our tools, and comments or likes on the platform.
• Subscription and billing details: your plan, trial status, and the customer and subscription references Paystack gives us. We never see or store your full card details.
• Usage information: how many times a day you use features like the resume builder and tax Q&A, so we can apply plan limits.
• Messages and newsletter sign-ups: what you send through our contact form, and your email and job-category preferences if you subscribe to updates.

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To provide the features you use, such as generating and exporting resumes, tracking applications, and answering your questions.
• To manage free trials, subscriptions, and payments.
• To send emails you asked for, like job alerts and newsletters, and to reply to your messages.
• To keep DipSkill safe, prevent abuse, and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run DipSkill, and only as much as each one needs:

• Supabase: hosts our database, sign-in, and file storage.
• Vercel: hosts the website.
• Google: if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Paystack: processes subscription payments.
• Resend: delivers our emails.
• OpenRouter and the AI model providers it connects to: process the text you submit to AI features, such as resume content or tax questions, to generate a response.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and of DipSkill.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to make the site work. We do not use advertising cookies.

Some of our service providers store or process data outside Nigeria, including in the European Union and the United States. When that happens we rely on providers that apply recognised safeguards to protect your information.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information, except anything we must keep to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

You can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your account and personal information;
• stop sending you marketing emails. Every newsletter also has an unsubscribe option.

To make a request, email support@dipskill.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that let each user see only their own records, and private storage for uploaded files. No online service can be completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you.

DipSkill is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top, and if the changes are significant we will let you know by email or on the site.
